Antonia Thwaites

Antonia Thwaites is an English - Egyptian classical soprano and singing teacher from the Isle of Wight. Now based in London, she is an alumna of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Chetham's School of Music.
Recent operatic roles include: 'Zerlina' - Don Giovanni, 'Susanna' - Le Nozze di Figaro, 'Suor Angelica', Suor Angelica, 'Echo' - Ariadne auf Naxos, 'Woman One' - Ruth, 'Suor Genovieffa' - Suor Angelica. Recent recital venues include The Bangalore International Centre, Pune Music Society, (India) and The National Liberal Club, (London).
Antonia is passionate about vocal pedagogy and alongside singing runs an active teaching studio from her home in Greenwich, as well as teaching in local schools. She has recently started to study for a Post-Graduate Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy with the University of Wales Trinity St David, with a particular focus on vocal health.

In 2023, western classical artists from Romania, Switzerland, Italy and England embarked on a concert tour of southern India, performing a unique program celebrating ensemble music-making and storytelling, showcasing some of the greatest opera arias, western classical art songs, and chamber music pieces, arranged for violin, voice, and piano.
They also worked with classical music students at Christ University Bangalore, delivering masterclasses and lessons.
